NEW TEACHING SERIES

We have started a 3 week teaching series with the somewhat intimidating title of “Curse God and Die”.  I feel like this should be followed by a lightning bolt and thunder crash every time I say it!  This title actually comes from the “advice” that Job’s wife gave him during his testing.  This study will be a study of the Biblical book of Job and this amazingly crazy story of perseverance and faith.

We have started a new series about prayer called “Facetime”!  Be sure to come each week as we discover what it means to seek God’s face and not just His hand in our life.

FUSION IS THIS WEEKEND!

If you are registered and going to Fusion with us this year please remember to be at the church by 5:45 so we can leave at 6pm!  I can’t wait for this weekend, always a good event!

DODGEBALL SATURDAY!

Don’t forget that THIS SATURDAY is our Dodgeball Tournament fundraiser!  If you are playing be sure to be at the church at 10am to register.  If you are not playing, come and enjoy some free entertainment cheering your friends on!

DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER OCT 29th

Don’t forget about our upcoming Dodgeball Tournament! Funds from this event will  go towards our goal of raising $2000 in order to plant a church in India in an area of need through CICM!  If you are playing, don’t forget the registration cost and form are due October 3rd.  If you are not playing, please come anyway and watch the action and cheer us on!  There will be refreshments and snacks for sale with proceeds going to the youth group.  This event is going to be great!  Please join us in having fun for a great cause!  Also, you can make a donation without stepping foot on the playing field, just bring a check made out to South Lansing Christian Church with the words “India Church Plant” in the memo and turn it in at the dodgeball registration table.

NEW IMAGINE SERIES STARTS THIS WEEK!

We will be starting our new Imagine series this week!  What a great week to bring your friends to Modified!

LABOR DAY WEEKEND MODIFIED

We will be having Modified Sunday Night, September 4th!  We will be meeting outside behind the farmhouse to play football, volleyball, have worship, and have a bonfire with smores!

NEW SERIES “IMAGINE”

This fall both The Flood and Modified will be teaching through a series along with the entire church we are calling “Imagine”.   Each week the Middle School and High School groups will be studying the same Scripture and Biblical point that the church as a whole will be studying on Sunday morning, just altered to directly communicate with us in an appropriate way for you in your unique place in life.  This series will take a look at what we can imagine our lives to be like if Christ was at the center.  We are going to imagine a Christ-centered life at school, within the family, among friends, in the area of money and contentment, and every aspect of a person’s life.
